Veteran Intros.
So you’ve just apped a new character, and you’d like them to be a veteran Traveler - but how do you introduce them in that case?
There are two easy options you can choose between, none overly complicated.
One: handwaved dungeon rescue! Synodiporia’s AC system allows for an IC mechanic for characters vanishing and reappearing: trapped in a dungeon dimension, unable to escape without the help of at least two other people! You can speak to fellow players about handwaving a dungeon rescue for your character, so you have a good reason to have been gone some time, and some automatic CR to play off of as you enter the game. Feel free to ask either existing players or other new veteran characters intro-ing at the same time about helping out here - every dungeon has to have at least three people exiting together.
Two: odyssey. On rare occasions, portals may appear in Liminal Space that no one recognizes. Your character, either alone or with friends, entered one such portal, and is only now returning, probably surprised to learn they’ve been gone for months and with only vague memories of the surreal spaces they traveled through in the meantime. If it’s very important to you to have a clearer memory of where your character has been, you can consult Matt, but in a busy month there may simply not be time to give you details, and another option may be best for you.
