As your characters search the island for clues and the means to survive, please comment under the toplevels below to indicate which square you're exploring. In the body of your comment, please list any relevant skills or abilities that will help you search faster, more accurately, or more thoroughly, such as Control Panel, Questing Sense, Survivalism, etc.



A, B, D, & E are fully explored. That leaves I, J, K, & F immediately accessible, with some exploration already done in F and J. C & G are accessible by anyone using air or water travel.

I imagine the answer is 'no', but checking just in case - in 'E', would there be anything active or still running in the suburbs there?

Not active and running, but some homes with backup generators in sheltered areas might be able to have power RESTORED to them.

Okiedoke, questions time! Riddick has obviously been here before. Is it all familiar? Has anything changed besides the fire damage and plant growth, like are there different buildings/houses/etc? Will he be able to find houses/businesses owned by people he remembers? Both travelers and NPCs.

Second, he will also be spending a small chunk of time a day, mostly at night, doing memory reconstruction of the place and people that had been in it, looking for clues, and then following them the next day with or without his tagalongs. (As well as trying to use some of those memories to jump-start prior Jaunt memories, if possible). (Forgot to put the actual quesiton here, bah) Anything likely to come of that?

Finally, questing sense. Anything pinging this week?

Awesome - so, between Matthew's magic and Riddick's jury rigging we figure we can get a generator operational. Would there be anything additional they might find once they do have power? Are there any computers they could turn on and search through, for instance?

Unfortunately the computers seem to be similar to chromebooks - all storage was on the cloud, and there's no wireless networks operative. Local area networks show past contacts to numerous mobile devices - at least one per person. Tablets & cellphones can be found & recharged, but without network access, they don't do much. Every house was wired to connect to a larger wi-fi network. Some homes have panic rooms with power-dependent access, but in those rooms are nothing but short-term survival needs, for no more than a week or so.

... Did those panic rooms exist in Riddick's time, or are they new? >.>

He wouldn't have seen them - Travelers stayed in the Hotel California.

Would an Inspect spell from one of Raidou's Volt demons highlight any oddities/items on the rocks or sandbars in A and A'? For that matter, are there any weird trinkets, important or otherwise, scattered around that a bored demon might notice?

Given their nature as geological oddities, Inspect might highlight the rocks themselves.

Yes it's familiar, as recognized, buildings basically the same except for the damage.

He could get some more memories of Travelers Long Past (both actual PCs & not, such as Xavin, Spock, & Sherlock Holmes), and at least some of them would be set on a rainy island with a modern city, cobbled streets, white uniforms, and British accents - clearly not THIS island.

As for Questing Sense, it appears to be pointing towards the hospital.

Would he get any results if he tried to talk to any of the local wildlife?

Possibly when the last time they saw any humans was, assuming they'd seen any. Or if they'd noticed anything strange about their surroundings lately.

Granted, that last comes up against whatever their definition of strange might be, and the appearance of a bunch of strange humans and not-humans on the beach would probably qualify.

Most have never seen a human. Those who have, it's been years. They don't count so well, but based on age, more than one, less than five.
