In the weeks leading up to the annual Amulet Ceremony, in which the pieces of the Amulet of Yensid are joined together to ensure the mutual prosperity of humans, Stonefolk and Forest Folk, King Elias Walter (Germaine) has fallen into an enchanted sleep. No one’s been able to rouse him, and Asa is serving as regent in the meantime.

Shortly after the Travelers are dumped into town in the middle of the ceremony celebrations, the Forest Folk’s third of the amulet goes missing, with the alert first put out by Thace, a Forest Folk with a strong adventuring background. Yukino and Spock are initially blamed for the theft - perhaps the Travelers’ cover story is a little too convenient? But then evidence pointing to the missing piece is discovered in Asa’s property, pointed out by Riddick, a figure of some authority and respect among the Stonefolk.

As thanks for clearing Yukino and Spock, the Travelers start helping Riddick look for the Forest Folk’s third of the amulet - unaware that Riddick is actually behind the theft, and taking advantage of this cover to steal the humans’ piece right as the Forest Folk’s piece is recovered. With Asa in disgrace and their own piece of the upcoming ceremony missing, the humans descend into bickering over who is responsible for this misfortune and who ought to be on the throne, which clearly needs to be properly filled to stop this nonsense from getting worse. Thace tries to help the Forest Folk hold together in the face of impending chaos. Sherlock and Remy happen to notice that the Stonefolk seem pretty content to sit back and watch, and have never been scrambling to find their piece of the amulet…

It’s chaos among the Forest Folk and the humans, and while Riddick has had some success in his plan, he’s also caused more trouble than he hoped. The window for the amulet ceremony comes and goes, and the Travelers go with it, having failed to unite the pieces. Magic is already leaching out of the kingdom as the Travelers depart, though it’s not terribly obvious beyond a slight uptick in stone curse/going-feral incidents.

After the jaunt, Riddick was in disgrace, and eventually died (quite possibly by falling off a building). This is NOT a reprisable role.
