They are very, very synthetic, yes! They are, essentially, a good looking hazmat/space suit, with futuristic fibers that have the strength to resist hazardous environments, but the flexibility to actually, you know, be clothing. A lot of tech (even Nano) worked right in!

There's no way for them to be replicated in Home, but Travelers could probably do something with them.
