Captains' Collaboration!
All right! I was working on the next plot post, with the ships starting to thread through the reefs, when it occurred to me that it would be extremely useful to have a place the faction leaders could discuss their decisions and progress with one another and the mods. This post will be that place, and I'll try to keep it organized, linking to various threaded discussions as they occur.
First of all: it's my impression that, so far, none of the captains are in close communication with one another, working together closely, and none of them has given more than a token acceptance at most to the mermaid offer. If you could, briefly, confirm or deny if that's correct before getting into more detailed discussion, it would help me greatly!

and has told people in the crew they can do little attacks if they want. The only attention she's paid to the mermaids is to make sure she stays clear of them because she's not about to be eaten any time soon.no subject
Despite her 'dislike' of humans, Yua would keep in contact with the captains but only leave it as discussion to get through the waves and not idle chit chat unless someone throws her off with a question
like pains in the fin schoolmates that tempt her to say the fishy version of 'fuck you'. I'm game for any discussions the captains would have had with her prior or future ideas!no subject

Basically it's not his day.
He'd be open for communication though, but he'll be keeping people at an arms length, with a hand on a gun.
At this point...
What would they do about this?
Also, a leprous castaway has been found on an island. Which captains would be willing to take them aboard, and which would forbid it?
Yua: with the kraken imminent, what would you like to do to try and keep the merfolk safe?

And hell no about the castaway; between the investigators and the mermaids, the Harbinger is probably already over burdened.

I MEAN...
She might be willing to assist in the fight just because she wants to get out of there, though with what they have and how she runs her crew they definitely can't do that alone. And while I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be okay with having the leper on-board, but I'd be cool with someone in the crew sneaking him on if that's what needs to happen. Or even someone from another crew. Jerks.

But when the kraken attacks the Harbinger, which the Damsel has slipped ahead of, she will certainly have a chance to fight it.

Robb will take the castaway, that is the honorable thing to do. :)

Turning back to fight it?

He won't help the Harbringer...he will trap it...
Don't worry you guys, Capt. Robb Stark got this :O

Just checking - we're clear that the Harbinger is the former naval privateer full of PCs, not the Lictor, which is the pursuing naval vessel full of NPCs?
Don't get me wrong, I am all about this decision, I just want to make sure it's not a miscommunication.

Liminal Space will be extra awful for him after this Jaunt /sobsob

So that means she would be fine with the ships taking as many mermaids as they can given that they find a way to keep them living and not try to kill them.
Before she ends up stabbing them. She on the other hand would stay in the waters just in case or if someone ends up dragging her butt up when it's serious danger time.no subject
Aaaand the Grasper is going to attack the Harbinger!
What do?

Insert the mermaid swear for 'motherfucker'There would be assistance to get those who can't defend the ship off as well as mermaids. As for the kraken, she and some of the warriors would try to keep it distracted until it decides to want to wreck the Harbinger. She will get injured trying to keep the monster away from everyone else that someone will need to grab her and get her out of there because of her complex of others over herself.
