Oh hey! And spirit binding works on all kind of spirits. Get a fresh corpse and you could put a dragon in it if you liked.

ORLY

Further spirit binding questions as I ponder the possibilities:

- Is each binding something that Rosalie has to actively maintain? How many could she maintain at once?

- How long could a spirit binding last? Assuming the corpse is healed somehow.

I doubt she's ever tried more than one at a time. And conventional wisdom says it shouldn't be possible. But dad conversed with many spirits at once...

The original spirit could remain bound permanently. Another spirit would not possess the same balance of elements, and so would either need regular reinforcing, or the body would shut down within hours to a day or two.

A fire dragon spirit, for example, would cause fever and eventually literally cook the body. A wood dragon body would stiffen, a water spirit would drown its body, metal would cause mineral poisoning, wind would cause oxygen toxicity (seizures, blindness, pulmonary failure ).

Oooh. Interesting. I'm guessing that a body with the original spirit bound into it would effectively be undead, rather than resurrected to full life?

If the binding and healing occurred within, say, ten minutes, it could be resurrected. Otherwise, teah, undead.
