Ren, Mikasa, and the surviving Sentai siblings traveled to the Sun Guard's temple to team up with them. Still trying to inspire a unified rebellion against the Shogun, but more quietly than in Mibu. They've already had to deal with two spys/assassins, one that killed Sentai Setsuko but that she took down with her, and one on the road that turned into a wacky villain chase before being taken down. However, they didn't notice the second one until after it was reported back the easiest way to get to Ren would be through Mikasa, but none of Ren's group has any idea about that.

Before leaving Mibu he handwaved talked to, uh... Arashi? Whatever Gowa's character in the Mibugumi is named /facepalm. Basically trying to get the Mibugumi in on the whole rebellion thing too, which she'll react favorably too according to Gowa, but exactly what's happening from there I have no idea, schedules have not been kind to me coordinating with her orz

Most importantly is that once he got to the Sun Temple, Ren got some power-ups. Chiyo gave him a magical tattoo that provides him calmness and clarity, at the expense of his body temperature always running on the cold side, although this happened offscreen since it's not something I want to keep. And I do believe when we tag the thread some more Ridou will be making him a magical weapon that augments his elemental fire powers.

As for what he's doing next... I have no idea honestly. Ren's good at inspiration but not so much war strategy. So I guess he'll be continuing to try inspiring people and doing whatever it is the people he trusts in the Sun Guard tell him it'd be a good idea to do?

EDIT: And I can't believe I almost forgot but he talked to Istas-aka-Totally-Izanami's-Ghost and Mari, so he has some closer about his sister and knows Mari is his niece now! And I believe Bii plans to keep Mari with the Sun Guard, which Ren is fine with but will still be looking out for her as best he can.
