Belljar Exploration Log, Week I.

As your characters search the island for clues and the means to survive, please comment under the toplevels below to indicate which square you're exploring. In the body of your comment, please list any relevant skills or abilities that will help you search faster, more accurately, or more thoroughly, such as Control Panel, Questing Sense, Survivalism, etc.



A, B, E, F, & possibly G are the only immediately explorable options, but if 8+ individuals focus on one square, they'll be free to choose another adjacent square later this week.

While everyone is starting here, that doesn't mean every detail or nuance of the place is explored automatically.

Riddick is def starting here with the exploring, and looking immediately for sources of food, water, and protection, like caves and streams and driftwood and such, and definitely control panel will be a thing. But once he's got the local area down, he'll be heading in whichever direction he remembers "city" being, unless Questing Sense pulls him in another direction, cuz yeah, he'll be using that, too. (Goal is to teach it to Matthew, heh.)

Also, can we maybe have a picture of the map linked/posted on the exploration posts so we can see what we're doing without having to go hunting for it on the plotting post?

Raidou's Questing Sense is sending him out across the rocks in the ocean to get a better look at the forcefield. Luckily, he has flightworthy Sithen wings and demons who can make ice bridges, but it's doing nothing to counter his belief that his Questing Sense is a sadist.

He'll probably end up talking to any critters in the vicinity - most likely birds - and possibly using the mask he used in Nova Venezia to take a look around as well, since it has polarized lenses (although on the other hand, it probably wouldn't fit over his Sithen ears). He can also have a Volt demon cast Inspect on the rocks to see if there's anything important hiding on them.

Relevant skills: Synthetic form would allow her to search more systematically, accurately, and attentively. Enhanced strength and durability would probably help her too, especially when it comes to getting through difficult terrain (i.e. it's impervious to stinging plants that she might avoid if she stayed human).

Ed and Winry will be heading this way to explore, mostly to see if they could fish some fish as dinner and if there are places they could camp for nights.

Elliot, Sorey, Mikleo, and the above nerds ^ are forming a loose group after some discussion on Plurk, so that gives us six people in total for B.

Riddick will venture this way a little in the first day in search of fresh water, but once he's found it he'll be turning around again so I'm not sure that will count for much exploration.

Jules is going to go deeper into the forest in the hopes of finding the tallest possible thing he can perch on, pretty much.

Near will be heading in this direction. He's cautious about how he moves and he hasn't got much more than his regular observational skills to help here, though he at least has a Light cantrip to help out if it's dark enough, and a Detect Poison cantrip to use if he sees any possible reason for it.

Melissa is going here, and she's got Flawless Stride to help her out with moving easily through it.

Okay, so after the first day and a half, Riddick's questing sense is haring him off this way, cutting straight across the jungle square towards where he remembers the city being. I believe River, By, Matthew, and Jules are all coming with him. So they'll spend the bulk of the week crossing this square. Now that I know more about what's going on :P

Rise will be helping Luci and Melissa out with her Persona (Treasure Radar, Enemy Radar, and her combat-support skills if they get into it with wildlife or something, although I'm guessing a feral pigs Weakness is "gun") and Assist. Also Sensory Eavesdropping for ease of communication.

Imriel will be heading this way with Melissa, Luci, and Rise.
