Luke enters the room with the impression that he's been gone a very long time and with only the blurriest of memories to fill in the blanks--he has the vague notion that at one point he'd been on a space station--at another point he'd been investigating a murder?--but where was the connection?
Perhaps it doesn't matter. He's fairly sure where he is now. Liminal space--some form of it.
He turns the chair over first, then uses the coaster to flip the glass of fizzy soda pop. Setting that aside momentarily, although keeping it in sight, he moves to flip the table.
