Disgraced Slammer - Amanda

This time last year, the world was your mollusc; you were known as the champion Slammer, and you and your dearly departed Pogemon were unstoppable. But then that rogue Pogemon caused trouble, your Pogemon partner died in the fight, and everyone blamed you for the mess afterward - including yourself. That hero kid pulled out an incredible stop at the last minute; why couldn’t you? Still, you don’t begrudge the kid at all; they may have rashly declared a rivalry against you when they came on the scene, but you sorted everything out before that big fight. Now, you just want your good name back (all this self-hatred is kind of tiring), and maybe a new Pogemon partner. Maybe.

Goals & Fears: Wants to be respected again, maybe fight alongside Pogemon again. Afraid they'll be a failure forever/that their Pogemon's sacrifice was in vain.
Information: Has a suspicion that the big bad didn't actually die like everyone else thinks.

Relations to Others:
Hot-Blooded Hero: Secretly respects them, openly scoffs at their enthusiasm and naivete in a show of dislike.
Researcher: Active dislike.
Slammer Master and Pogemon: Active dislike.
Disgraced Slammer: Active dislike.
Lone Pogemon: What do you want? What are you looking for?
Government Inspector: Active dislike.

Social Advantages and Disadvantages: Keeps their cool under pressure, but is widely seen as a has-been who needs to give it up already.

Battle Advantages and Disadvantages: Has a lot of experience and is good at reading Pogemon battle situations, but has no Pogemon.

Special Skills: Loner’s Pride: Actually has a better chance of success when attempting a task if the task is taken on by oneself--only after repeatedly denying offers of help. For some bizarre reason, when dealing with a group of people all insisting that they don’t need anyone else and that they are just fine on their own, this skill can also be used to unify that group.

Amanda's not certain what's going on there - definitely not enough to call him out - but she's Suspicious.

Anything more obscure than The Raven she probably wouldn't get, but she didn't quite manage to sleep through ninth grade english before she ran away to become a famous pogemon slammer.

Any plans for the upcoming mingle?

Amanda's going to be getting underfoot at the tournament - not intentionally being an obstruction, but having relatively little respect for pretty much any boundary short of a locked door when it comes to the difference between "public" and "participant only" areas. This is partly out of a desire to be close to the action, even if she can't take part herself, and partly in an effort to keep an eye on the other major players.

If challenged, she's perfectly willing to try flashing her old Slammer's Union credentials - she honestly isn't sure whether anyone will have bothered to revoke her membership while she's been sulking.

She'll be keeping an eye on the tournament as it wraps up, and probably getting closer to the Lone Pogemon.

Amanda's angry and confused, and she's gonna show it by wading straight into fights whether she belongs there or not. She's going to actually start filling her Slammer Stack again - she doesn't have a pogemon partner, but she's got a shoebox of support pogs under her bed and maybe they'll come in handy somehow. Maybe more to the point, she's gonna start carrying a tire iron, because having a sturdy blunt object on hand is probably more useful than a stack full of pogs when she doesn't have a partner.

At this point she has absolutely zero faith in Malik, and is going to be actively hostile to any plans he's spearheading or endorsing.
