Taichi has met up with an Erebus insider and is bartering for a security glitch to pass on to Casper, which should happen by the end of the week.

He has been dissuaded from jumping in to help by both Casper and Vilari.

He has also obtained an extra supply of pain meds to deal with his pain, but half of that is going to get that crucial information. So the latter half of this month is going to get... interesting for him.

John Doe (Jacob Frye) is pitching an idea to Antonio (Altaïr) about drugging high ranking cattle handlers. In general, Antonio is setting up an information network, planting low-level employees, and roping in old friends to smuggle cattle supplies. He's recruiting civilians' safehouses last-minute and not telling smugglers​ every location, to throw Erebus off their trail. He tries to run a tight ship.

This week River has:

- Socialized with a few investigators as well as infiltrators. Investigators have expressed interest in helping out the town. He's probably going to see if he can find someone to point them to.

(Not sure if it should be a player character or an NPC...)

- Done a lot of chatting and trying to calm people so they don't freak out before the heist.

- Attempted to get Melissa off his back a little bit. How well that's going to work, I don't know.

Basically a lot of prep work, including some behind the scenes stuff I assume. (This week has been a bit of a Time for me, depression-wise.)

Nothing too special to report from week 1, he's still very much unaware of the whole heist plan that's going on. So when it does go down in week 2, he's definitely going to freak out since his job is on the line. The specifics are probably going to depend a little on how the heist ends up playing out!

I have a question for week 2, if that's okay! Once the heist has happened, I assume Erebus Corp as a whole will know about it? If so, will someone higher up be giving Cecil orders?

Some mild tensions between Kenny and those he's trying to work with, but nothing major yet- I was unfortunately away from reliable internet for the last week OTL I'm playing catch-up, and will hopefully have more to report soon.

Mostly managing people and trying to make sure that the cows don't spook and run off once he knows a storm is coming. And keeping an eye on their supplies...

OH RIGHT I SHOULD MENTION. Bob the raven is investigating as a goose and is trailing along with the party to provide updates on the network. He has a vest. It's very cute.

Taichi has decided that fuck it, he's going to go help the outlaws whether other people think it's a good idea or not - and weirdly enough has been encouraged to do so in a deeply emotional conversation that hit way harder than he thought possible, so he's settled on a combination of Blaze of Glory and Finding his Feet for the moment.

He's taking a head's up about the storm to the outlaws, so they'll have a chance to prepare before it hits, and he'll suggest hunkering down rather than trying to fight through it. He's bringing extra supplies, food, and medicine with him as well as stuff for himself.

Next week: Stick with the outlaws, offer advice and fight against his cow-related fears, decide if this is what he wants to keep doing or if he needs to find another path.

So far Cecil's just trying to figure out where exactly the cows have gone, but he doesn't have any leads yet. I don't think his current threads will get him any either (I'll edit this if that changes before the next mingle) so that's what he'll keep on doing.

Azul received Faith's intel on red hour security glitching, her email, and her CB code from Taichi.
Going by Azul, he ran into Claudia as she hacked drones (during the red hour?). Likely he'll try recruiting her to handle any more hackery on this heist.
Antonio was up early to knock out any guards who weren't already dosed into sleep by whatever substance John Doe got.
Then he coordinated the actual cow stealing on radio from the rooftops, emphasizing not harming civilians, and only using lethal force on enemies when necessary to save one's life. Let's hope that worked.
Xena gate-crashed the heist by helping him as rear guard. Likely he'll recruit her as a guard.
He's not that great at good old-fashioned herding, so Asra helped him out.
He gave orders to "cuddle the hell out of each other" or risk freezing in the caves. It looks like Taichi is contacting him after he's made camp…

Plans: Continue to make sure his allies don't die stupid deaths?

She is Pretty Sure she knows where the cows are heading, because she's not stupid, and who's herding them. It sort of depends on where the mingles are at next week, but she might be heading out to try and figure out the path they're taking to get to Ridge Rock.

Would he be more likely to recommend they hunker down in the caverns until the storm is over, or try to press on through the canals?

(Pressing on is less immediate strain on food supplies, but runs the risk of losing cattle to exposure. The caverns provide better shelter, as well as eventually taking them closer to Ridge Rock with some cover against Erebus' reclamation efforts, but may result in hungry cows and people alike.)
