Red Dirt plot role info
If you are not a plot infiltrator or someone with IC reasons to share knowledge available to plot infiltrators, please do not read the comments of this post.
If you ARE a plot infiltrator, please comment under your toplevel to let us know you've read it; please also pop over here to announce your plotroleishness to the game at large. We prefer that you do any confidential plotting with other plot-important folks in the comments here, rather than on plurk, and please comment no later than July 5th, 13th, 21st, 29th & August 6th & 14th with a brief (as brief as 1 sentence; as long as you like) summary of your activity during the week & plans for next week. These comments will help the mods shape mingles and plot events to keep the story dynamic and player actions important to the outcome. Likewise, comment at any time with any questions you may have, and a mod will get back to you within 36 hours at the outside.

Washed-Up Outlaw - Shiro
Big things are happening in this town, and people could use help from an experienced outlaw like you. The thing is, you might not be able to pull yourself out of the lonely hole you’ve dug for yourself in time.
Destiny: Find your feet again, or maybe go out in a blaze of glory. Either way, make all this have some kind of meaning.
Connections: Professional Outlaw - An old friend; Amateur Outlaw - Your attempt to help them on their disastrous first job left you wounded.
Skill: Toxic Filtration - You’ve been so hard on your body in the past few months/years/whatever you go with backstory-wise that your body has adapted to all sorts of things that are not good for it. It takes more alcohol to get you drunk, more medicine for you to feel any sort of relief...but it also makes you remarkably difficult to poison and it makes it easier for you to survive in inhospitable environments.

He has been dissuaded from jumping in to help by both Casper and Vilari.
He has also obtained an extra supply of pain meds to deal with his pain, but half of that is going to get that crucial information. So the latter half of this month is going to get... interesting for him.

He's taking a head's up about the storm to the outlaws, so they'll have a chance to prepare before it hits, and he'll suggest hunkering down rather than trying to fight through it. He's bringing extra supplies, food, and medicine with him as well as stuff for himself.
Next week: Stick with the outlaws, offer advice and fight against his cow-related fears, decide if this is what he wants to keep doing or if he needs to find another path.
Re: Washed-Up Outlaw - Shiro
(Also if you could sum up your 'has anyone thought of what to do with the cave cows from here?' plurk here or at least link it that'd be SUPER HELPFUL. XD)
Re: Washed-Up Outlaw - Shiro
Also suffering. He has planted the idea for Kenny that there is a place for him taking care of the cattle and that his self-worth should not be determined by others' views of him.
The cow plans are as follows:
- shift the bulk of the herd to a series of caverns which can be turned into a barn and living quarters for the farmhands.
- cows will be rebranded for each town meant to receive charity cows
- These much smaller herds will be divvied up and driven to each town individually. (Including Ridge Rock.)
- The remainder will be kept in the caves with a rotating staff of outlaw herdsmen. Kenny is likely to be among/leading that team.
- One cow will be delivered to the Erebus dairy farm anonymously for the lols.
- In the future, bulls can be borrowed from the caves to cover heifers in the towns, calves may be exchanged, milk and cave-aged cheese bought or bartered for, etc. Supplies will be donated by all towns till the cavern herd is settled and self-sufficient. Caches will be established on the plains as exchange points. Efforts will be made to seed the plains in a widespread area all along the cliffs and towns to disguise the location of the caverns and provide feed for the herd.
Next week will be the aftermath of the blizzard, setting up the cavern hold, organizing the branding and smaller cattle drives... and likely going back to Ridge Rock to face the music.

Lots of organization happened in the outlaws, getting things set up for the future.
He's teaching teenagers to shoot weapons??
Next Week: The Homecoming.
He'll probably be heading home early, ahead of the cows. Plausible bovine deniability. He will be ready to help catch the security folk in a pincer movement if there looks to be trouble. I'm not planning on him getting shot, but might make the opportunity for Gail to have Riddick play meatshield.
He needs to decide what he's going to do after all of this, and at the moment he's leaning toward a job in town and a supply runner for the Hidden Cavern Ranch.
general info
In the end, his spirit was broken. The open, reckless, charming, laughing, kind-hearted man who believed in helping others no matter what the law said became a broken, jaded, bitter, and lost young man. He's become a homebody for the most part because he can't stand the way people look at him with pity and disgust.
He lives on the outskirts of town with his little brother, handyman and odd jobber Keith, and takes care of their chickens and vegetable patch. Most days he can be found on the front porch area of their home, ostensibly selling produce and eggs and feathers, but mostly drinking.
He does not have a horse - he passed along the one he used to ride to his old friend Altaïr (Professional Outlaw) after the accident. He claims to not want to go back to that life.
Warnings: Dealing with Taichi will likely involve his alcoholism and mention of his amputation. He is also abusing painkillers in order to try and stave off lingering pain and depression. Please let me know if you do not want to deal with any of these things and I will tailor threads accordingly!
