Most of those sorts of shops seem to run on the "When you go looking for them/have a need, you find them" sort of plot convenience. So something of a "...but there's nothing there." "Have you gone looking" "...well no, but--" "that's why it wasn't there." set up which seems to fit in perfectly.
And considering Bakura, finding a neat spot and camping out fits very well.
