about when would Jaina have nicked Jayden's clothes? Would that happen in week two so we can thread it out or I can make a toplevel going "now Jackie is naked and he's not amused and looking for his clothes"

Probably within a day of him disclosing they're how he survived. Girl is not good at impulse control in any universe. :p

She's trying to reverse engineer human clothes and following up on Bismuth's information about metal sources.

She is not planning to murder anyone.

MOstly wondering if the sandstorm will reveal anything that could be an interesting avenue to explore if she finds the right team.

There are a couple small towns buried in the desert that the sandstorm could partially uncover! Since the towers are fixed, it's possible to go out further without asphyxiating (but sun and heat and blown sand would still be risks). Not all the way to the tower, just yet, but definitely a few more miles up river than had been accessible. If you want to do a thing, just point me at a thread and I'll describe things!
