Ok yeah if she knows that she may be contacting him in secret, because one of the things that’s made her the producers’ darling is being able to anticipate popular characters and storylines, and Phillip has a direct link to the audience.

The producers could totally assign Philip the job of being the go-between in between the actors and them, especially when the higher ups are busy! They'd consider it good practice for his future role, and it'd be a metric for determining his loyalty (see how they're planning on absolutely breaking Acantha's spirit as soon as they can) to them when plots go dramatic or tragic!
