There's a good chance she'll get at least something before security systems are set off, especially if she works cautiously.

Orwell has been around a LONG time. As in 4 centuries is new compared to them. The Mythics have been a show for about those 400 years, and have been renamed/rebranded a few times, with 'all new' characters. Orwell has had an agreement with production company that makes the 'natural world' show that both companies need to agree before any new terraforming is started down on Earth. Previously, the two companies were fighting legally over the sole rights over terraforming.

Orwell has other shows/games, but the Saga is their mega hit, and the cash cow that they fully intend to milk for all it's worth, and if Yukki pokes in the right places, she'll discover that they've been accused of doing shady shit (and then cleared) a few times, followed by burying of the info.

Mythics as a named entity have only been around as long as the show, but some deep, deep digging could pull up stories of body-mods gone extreme, and being made 'by permit only' (and effectively illegal without appearing to be) due to "side effects" and "deaths"

Poking at people's perspectives would be cool. For PCs, I'd just ask the players! For the Very Important Person, I'm sure an opportunity will come up to get a reading. (I have no idea about range, but if she can do a reading from that far away, she's welcome to go poking at folks down on the main walkabout. The network and Liminal are separate, but all the people are literally in the same solar system. (actually closer than that, as all the stations keep a close-ish orbit of Earth)

Also, would information from the infodoc about the other show be something she'd know via Infiltrator Knowledge (or observation, if the ratings are readily available), or...?

Out of curiosity, how far back do the animal species go? Did they go prehistoric, or are they more modern animals, or is there a mix?

It's a mix! Most of the recognizable animals are from modern species that went extinct no further back than early 20th century.

However there are a lot of chimeric or obviously mythical animals that look like extinct ones. And a few small "dinosaurs" because of course.

The messages are slated to arrive in week 3 (to give the guests time to think of good ones) but she could convince the Very Important Person to drop off hers with the cockatrice instead especially since it's coming with a gift

Jumping on this one to ask if there's anything particularly important the VIP should know about everything that Yukki could learn.

More specifically, would she know that a significant portion of the new Foundlings weren't Producer Approved? (Or are there enough producers present that it's pretty much Business As Usual to not know about something because another producer approved it without informing her?)

Well, the reason the investigators were able to get into the party was because there was a massive system failure (either caused by Daneel or by Acantha's rebel friends) that screwed up so many records and is making inter-station communication difficult.

Mythics are created on the other two stations! But they're usually transported over to Eurasia for the final delivery because it's got the quickest/easiest path down to Home due to its orbit. During the system failure, a bunch of Mythics and Mythics-to-be disappeared from Oceana. The consensus among the producers is that they got sent down somehow.

Given that the designer on Oceana views themself as an avant garde artist and is known for trying to push the envelope (and then sabotaging out of spite if their work is insulted), the producers aren't too surprised that some... odd Mythics showed up. Usually they 'fix' the experiments (and the spite sabotaging that they catch) that are deemed unsuitable for the show (and keep records, because the designer is something of a creative genius and there's always future money in that sometime down the line) right before they're sent down.

So, basically it's a whole big mess, and Yuri is probably feeling very stressed. Right now she's willing to blame Daneel and Jayden for almost everything (and means to get in contact with that artist once things are fixed to figure out what the hell they're up to now)

If they're usually produced on Oceana, do you think that's where Char, Daneel and Jayden used to live?

All the stations have a Mythic creation department so they could have come from any of the three!
