Me and Gil were talking about the Most English Most Embarassing getaway and we went

so the primary concern will be that they need to get him down to the ground unseen.

What if they put him in the rear part of a pantomime horse (or cow) and get the balloon to the ground that way. There should be at least one panto horse suit around the school's theatres. People will just go "/eyeroll ART STUDENTS, AMIRITE" and if the front part needs to talk to someone Phillip or Kelly whichever it is, will be inconspicuous.

I thought hot air balloons was how the school ferries people from the ground to the school and the other way around? Essentially I just meant getting him on the regular mode of transport as the rear end of a panto horse

excellent! I'm also whipping up a toplevel for Edward on a very quick 'toilet break' impersonation of the PM. (As in, Edward claims he needs to use the bathroom and then climbs out the window to go impersonate the PM in order to have Zed's glitter golems removed from the maze.)
