Elsewhere U Plot Role Info

If you are not a plot infiltrator or someone with IC reasons to share knowledge available to plot infiltrators, please do not read the comments of this post.

If you ARE a plot infiltrator, please comment under your toplevel to let us know you've read it; please also pop over here to announce your plotroleishness to the game at large. We prefer that you do any confidential plotting with other plot-important folks in the comments here, rather than on plurk, and please comment no later than September 17, 25, October 3, 11, 19 & 27 with a brief (as brief as 1 sentence; as long as you like) summary of your activity during the week & plans for next week. These comments will help the mods shape mingles and plot events to keep the story dynamic and player actions important to the outcome. Likewise, comment at any time with any questions you may have, and a mod will get back to you within 36 hours at the outside.

You will not be cut off. The locations are designed so that people can easily pass into Elsewhere to help out even if they're not officially on the rescue. Those not officially on it will just encounter more obstacles since the Treaty doesn't cover them. Conversely, it is easy OOCly to pull your character out of the rescue, as Elsewhere can just randomly bend space or kick characters out through a Fairy Circle. It's possible to have the best of both worlds. What order is up to you. It may be possible to even go back and forth twice a week if he really wanted to.

The plot takes place on both sides, with the rescue in Elsewhere being the hand, and the support at college being the brain. Most likely. The rescuers will need all the help they can get from everyone back at the college. E.g. they will encounter a thing, most likely not be able to figure out the solution on their own, and will need info or help from outside sources. They will need supply messengers anyway because non-Fae really should not eat Elsewhere food.

Most if not all Involved staff would reasonably find out about the Changeling and know that they gotta send the RA to do the thing. Whether Fennel is field or support is your choice. Dean Winchester or Bobby Singer?

I'm one of nine people on Earth who never watched Supernatural XD I'm drawing some inspiration from Giles on Buffy, support guy, the knowledgeable mentor who consults the books but will totally cast spells or stab the shit out of things if needed.

So I guess for week two he'll be holding down the fort on campus. I do have some reservations about folks on the Rescue Squad not just doing a random ass-pull and solving everything without help since...this is Syn. But we'll see how it plays out.

I’m one of the heathens who hasn’t watched Buffy XD but that sounds about right.

The most obvious solution to the first obstacle will lie with one or more of the plot roles. The most obvious solution to the second obstacle is on school grounds. More later when I am not on mobile and I paste next week’s instructions for you guys.

Gotcha.

Anyway, proper week 1 report: let folks know he was available, showed off his sword (not a euphemism), discussed potential issues re: the Princess with faculty, got into a Discussion about using iron tacks with the Groundskeeper, and updated a bunch of spreadsheets with new student/staff info.

Reiterating what I said on plurk more coherently, he's the Plot Role likely to have the most general Weirdness info readily on hand just by having the knowledge. The Librarian has to look it up, the Cornerwitch has to perform a ritual, and everyone else is a specialist or not experienced enough.
