Elsewhere U Plot Role Info

If you are not a plot infiltrator or someone with IC reasons to share knowledge available to plot infiltrators, please do not read the comments of this post.

If you ARE a plot infiltrator, please comment under your toplevel to let us know you've read it; please also pop over here to announce your plotroleishness to the game at large. We prefer that you do any confidential plotting with other plot-important folks in the comments here, rather than on plurk, and please comment no later than September 17, 25, October 3, 11, 19 & 27 with a brief (as brief as 1 sentence; as long as you like) summary of your activity during the week & plans for next week. These comments will help the mods shape mingles and plot events to keep the story dynamic and player actions important to the outcome. Likewise, comment at any time with any questions you may have, and a mod will get back to you within 36 hours at the outside.

Yeah, pretty much everything seems to be not(-yet)-threaded this week, sadly.

Speaking of crow fights - Anna will defend itself with all methods possible. My question is: Would it be able at all to not be tied to the spot near the metalworking shop any more? Or is hanging out in that spot regularly an integral part of its existence?

It'd be great if them actually meeting could happen and could happen on screen, yes :3

It’s fine, I just needed to know what to put in the mingle. Since the upcoming mingle is just a continuation of actions taken last week, would it make more sense to thread the shards return at the beginning of this week? I don’t want players looking at this mingle and looking at last week and getting confused and worried they missed something.

It’s a reflection of her damaged psyche since she died in a car crash, but she’s getting her shards back around now. I think that’s a great reason to not be tied there anymore.

Hm, I think what would make sense would be

- a prompt for "so if someone goes to steal shards and return them this is what hey will find and how it will go down"
- a prompt for "so if someone goes to find alayne and bring her to anna that's what's gonna happen"
- and perhaps something over at EU about how fortified the Anna area has become and that the dread there is lessening?

Did you already have a PC planned to steal the shards, or did you still need to find someone?

I need to wait for some other checkin answers, but I think Anna may be allowed to accompany the rescuers to find Alayne directly.

Well, Tachibana had volunteered, but seeing as the mun dropped, I'm not sure what's up with that. So if anyone else wants in I guess it's free for all now?

How would she move? I had so far assumed that she can only portal forth and back between our world and the Elsewhere?

Oh ok, I know a little bit about that. You're right, it's anyone's fair game now. Tachibana would have succeeded, but unfortunately I can't handwave something that big when none of the before or after were mentioned in threads. There would be no continuity for other players to follow.

Not a big deal though, it just means trying to do it this week. (I remember Quila was investigating the shards in the Forest, so you may want to see if she wants to do anything about her findings this week?). And even if no one bites, or if it happens after Alayne's return, it's not dire. There have been no strong objections onscreen to Anna accompanying the rescuers to find Alayne, and Red bringing info on her past to the rescuers is in her favor.

As for Anna's mobility on EU campus, how about the release instead be finding Alayne? Anna may float around, as ghosts do. If you'd like to work in the instability creepiness, how about only moving when someone's looking away, or sort of glitch herself short distances like a buggy videogame NPC, that sort of thing.
