"Oh? Have you been cheated before, then? How is it that in this domain, which belongs to the Arcana- so far as I am aware, anyways- you can be cheated?" Felih's ears pick up on every word, and his mind is endlessly chasing threads of thought and possibility, tail twitching behind him instead of lashing as his mind shifts gears from anger to curiosity.
"I'd think for now, I've said enough." Nope, not confirming or denying anything. "At any rate, nothing like this should happen ever again." Not if he can help it.
Felih pouts, almost like a kitten who's been denied a treat, or been caught climbing something he shouldn't have. Folding his arms, he huffs.
"A life for a life," Felih warns simply. "It will balance itself out."
But after a sigh, Felih shakes his head.
"...if nothing else, please tell Lady Mei- Empress?- that if she's going to take the rabbits, just take them already. They're running rampant and we can't even hunt them."
"Thank the Twelve," Felih sighs in relief. "At least, if nothing else, they won't be making more messes. ...thank you, Mortimer. It seems frustrating to have your tongue bound so, but 'tis even more frustrating for us, left in the dark. We could do so much more for you, if we knew more."
He stands, however, his words carrying a tone of finality, despite the way they could open up further conversation.
