How should this play out, do you think? Biggest problems from my PoV would be getting past Stone, who probably sleeps with the good tablets under his pillow, and getting Gil to the spot at the right time, if we want him framed really good.

Stone does keep the tablets in his bedchamber :| she will have to do this when he's not there. but if Cain/Graham continues to be good with Stone (I mean, we're 3 tags in, but still, he's showing promise already) and interested in history and reading, he could wind up "adopted" and taken on as an apprentice, which could be a good way to frame him

Oh, in that case it's even easier in some ways - I bet Stone doesn't want to hang around the elder house with someone who keeps implying he should die in the days leading up to that ancestor festival.

No matter what, Stone will almost absolutely know it was her but he can't prove it.

Wait Cain shouldn't be implying that (or he absolutely won't be getting brought on as an apprentice, ahaha). Is Circe living in the elder huts or something?

(I was playing like Stone has his own hut, where he both keeps a lot of his history tablets, and also makes them and teaches his handful of students in the morning >.> )

I think she means Circe. Since she's the one telling him every day how he should move on, and she could probably annoy him out of his own house if she tried hard enough.

She absolutely could - I'm sure if she worked at it she could annoy him right up onto the space station.

I figured all of the elders lived near each other and she must live in the same area, because taking care of the elders is part of her job description and I don't think she's the kind of person who would take kindly to having to like run across town every time someone fell or got stuck or something.

Ah okay, that makes sense! And yeah, her nagging at him more obviously than usual could send him along to visit the farmers or the stream to check for new clay deposits or whatnot :P

Now that Dawn's officially preparing to go it's probably easy to make irritatingly pointed statements about it.

Okay, so she definitely won't be able to snag the best of the best tablets, because she still doesn't know where Stone hid them, but he can't keep all 200 or so years worth of tablets in his bedroom.

If we want to get Cain there, her best bet might be implying to Branch that she's going to kill Stone. She kind of figures Branch is more sympathetic to Cain than to her so it's also a loyalty test. Then she has all the time Cain is wasting sneaking around Stone's hut waiting for her to strike to smash the tablets.

Cain would be way angrier that Circe set them both up, than about Branch setting him up.

Stages/toplevels could possibly be like
1. Circe tells Branch she's gonna do it to Stone at an exact time
2. Branch tells Cain so he can get there early
3. Circe gets there double early annoys Stone out of his house
4. Cain starts stalking and being suspicious around the house
5. Shits fucked

This sounds awesome. Any room for Acantha to show up at the wrong place at the wrong time and either be Cain's alibi for ruining the tablets, or witness to Circe doing the deed?

The weak point in the plan for Circe right now (aside from completely misreading Cain’s likely reaction lol) is getting the implement that she’s going to use to smash the tablets into Stone’s house without being noticed, so that’s definitely a point where he could like “accidentally” witness her with it (especially if he’s somehow heard about the fake plan to kill Stone which would give him reason to be lurking near his house).
