Role in current universe: A Knight of the Gryphon with a mount that blends features of a mountain lion and a merlin hawk.
Backstory/Description of new identity: Together with his more serious, quieter partner, since the fall of the kingdom and the death of his mentor, he's traveled across Dolorosa, avoiding the larger conflicts of the Barons and doing his best to fulfill the original protective role the knights served.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Not too many! Serious, dutiful, still prone to wisecracks, still intense, manipulative if he has to be, the adherence to a strict chivalric code is the only real difference.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: opposing knights, cursed bandits, or general high-flying shenanigans!
