Infiltrator CR Meme: The Cursed Kingdom!
Once you've decided what role you want to play as an infiltrator, brainwashed to believe you belong in Dolorosa, this is the place to talk with other players about shared backstory and relationships you'd like to plan out for the plot. If you're playing a plot-important role, we'd ask that you not disclose any plot secrets here, obviously, and for ease of identification we ask that characters not change their first names unless absolutely necessary for suspension of disbelief, but otherwise everything is fair game! Just make a top-level comment below with your character's name in the subject line, fill out the little form, and then tag around as you like!

Backstory/Description of new identity:
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Lightning is... still a grumpypants, but with slightly more guilt, and a little more open with her emotions, which she tamps down on. She was highly-regarded among the knights for being young but strong and determined when she joined, but is pretty damn cynical now, and is only interested in finding the Queen because that's where her loyalty lies.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Uhhhhh EVERYTHING p.much. Lightning needs to get into the action more after I crashed during the last plot.
Anything Else/: Hi I'm a dork for fantasy settings.

Backstory/Description of new identity: A knight, loyal and good and sympathetic to the common people's plight, but still humble despite everything. The law must be upheld, the greater good must be followed, and he is but a tool of that. Daneel has always been a knight in his little robotty heart, he just doesn't know it.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: The major change will be that Daneel will no longer think of himself as subservient to everyone. He's still going to think of his role as serving the general public and the missing Queen, but it's a subtle difference that comes naturally.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Oh man, open to so many things. I am definitely looking forward to playing with Daneel having a bit of self importance (but only a bit), and with the concept of a Questing Sense. He can rescue people, he can be rescued, he can introduce you to his pretty gryphon. Bring me your ideas!
Anything Else/: I have not... yet... decided how I'm going to be handwaving the robotness. So that's there.

NATASHA
Backstory/Description of new identity: Backstory is somewhat of a plot secret, but new identity I can do. Natasha is one angry woman with a goal, and that goal is to fix what has gone in Dolorosa, which is quite a lot when you get down to it. Curses (oh, she doesn't like these), wizardry, a broken court system? Natasha's method of fixing it might seen a bit like socialism turned anarchy but she does get results of some kind.
Not to mention everyone following her lead.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Natasha is a lot more emotive in this role, though her usual default is slightly pissed off. Emotions similar to anger, or the red/purple end of things are much easier for her to express than say, happiness.
There's too much gone wrong to be happy for too long anyway.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: PEOPLE WHO ARE BANDITS WITH HER, people she's stolen from, people who know to avoid her, people trying to catch her, people of all types.
Anything Else/: /grabbyhands at you all

Backstory/Description of new identity: Together with his more serious, quieter partner, since the fall of the kingdom and the death of his mentor, he's traveled across Dolorosa, avoiding the larger conflicts of the Barons and doing his best to fulfill the original protective role the knights served.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Not too many! Serious, dutiful, still prone to wisecracks, still intense, manipulative if he has to be, the adherence to a strict chivalric code is the only real difference.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: opposing knights, cursed bandits, or general high-flying shenanigans!

Backstory/Description of new identity: After the fall of the Queen, Sir Eren came to serve the Baron of Flamegard on the edge of the Ash Waste, defending the realm against the incursion of dragons. He has a dark secret, however - he's been cursed with the ability to turn into a dragon.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: replace 'titan' with 'dragon' and '3dmg' with 'gryphon' and Eren is exactly the same.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: knightly rivalries, fellow dragonslayers working with him / maybe trying to kill him when he shifts! magicians trying to manipulate him is cool too.

Sir Cain yo
Backstory/Description of new identity: Pals around with Tim and tends to let him do most of the talking, partly because he's better at it and partly because she tends to be more morally grey about things than he is. Without a partner (Tim) to follow she could have easily fallen in with any of the other groups, but she's good with following Tim around.
She's also been known to hang around with Ezio Auditore because why the hell not right?
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: She can speak normally for this! Her stilted speaking pattern comes from not learning to speak until very recently and with a new backstory that doesn't apply. After the jaunt, anyone she interacts with is free to notice this and bring it up to her!
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Knight bro cr! Maybe she gave your characters extra help with swording or was someone they could turn to just to talk, anything is possible! She's definitely the type to risk her life to save anyone no matter WHO they are, so if you'd like to say that Cass did that for your character I am totally up for it!
Anything Else/: Her body language reading will stay the same, just explained as some sort of weird magic thing she does that she keeps hidden from most people. As always, her permissions post for that is here!

HI CAN YOU TELL I'M EXCITED
Backstory/Description of new identity: I AM PROBABLY DEFINITELY GOING TO BE EXPANDING ON THIS OVER TIME BUT FOR NOW Snow is one of the Barons that does not have any blood relation to the Queen. Rumors circulate that he's in love with her (which would explain his fierce loyalty to her claim. Oh, and isn't it convenient that, if he marries her, guess who gets crowned King? And this dirtbag wants to try to tell us he has no ambitions for the throne? Who is he kidding?), but none of them have ever been substantiated. It's all just hearsay and shitstirring made easy by the chaotic nature of the kingdom right now.
During the Queen's reign, Snow was generally well-liked by the populace at large. He was easy-going and more of a hands-off kind of guy – he didn't care to micromanage or impose on people. People knew him as being amiable and pleasant in face-to-face interactions, though a bit on the distant side. He was the kind of guy you'd like to have an ale with, but you would go into the tavern knowing he would leave you at the bar at the end of the night to go do his own thing without you.
Since the Queen's disappearance, however, that has changed. He's now quick to anger and slow to forgive, and he is often seen as cynical and perpetually annoyed. His patience for naysayers and usurpers has dropped to zero, and while he hasn't rolled out a full-scale witch hunt just yet, he's definitely creeping close to that edge. He still looks out for and takes care of his subordinates and those who are loyal to him, but the friendliness and the warmth are gone from that relationship. It was such a slow, gradual development in him, though, that most people don't even notice the change. It kind of feels like he's always been this way.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Snow will be more on the Lawful Neutral side of things than his normal Chaotic Good self – not because he's beholden to the law, but because he's beholden to the Queen. He doesn't give a fuck about your ego trip power fantasies or your realm. If you pose a threat, he'll put you down – or try to, at least. Snow's not out to please everyone like he normally would be in canon, and he's far, far less concerned about the preservation of human life in relation to his own goals.
In a similar vein, he's still going to be cold and jaded like he is from his canonpoint, but he’s not going to be dead inside from it in this universe. He's just going to simply be a distant, detached, apathetic dick as opposed to a broken hero. Instead of reflecting everything inwards, he's going to project more of his feelings out onto everyone else. He's frustrated and he's tired, and if everyone would just sit the fuck down and behave like they’re supposed to, maybe he wouldn't be so pissed off all the damn time. In his eyes, protecting the Queen's throne is less like dealing with a broken kingdom and more like running a daycare – except, instead of children, that daycare is filled with grown-ass adults who should rightfully know better. And instead of putting them in time out, he responds with military force. Oops?
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Negative CR from usurpers, for sure! Does anyone want to come try to assassinate this fucker? Because that would be rad. (Not that I actually intend to kill him – I just think the attempt itself would be interesting.)
But, positive CR, too! Anyone who wants to join in an alliance, or maybe gryphon riders who are loyal to him and his cause. Basically what I'm saying is I am 100% ready and willing to go Game of Thrones all up in this shit with anyone who wants to plot that out.
Anything Else?: Oh, um. Snow's going to be hosting raucous parties in an attempt to distract people from the chaos and the political goings-on of the kingdom right now. His whole thing is that maybe if people got their frustrations out another way, they'd all calm down and stop being revolting buttholes. Well, if there's an interest in it, that is. I can put up an open log for all of you to get your sin on. Seriously, just treat it as your own sandbox. Feel free to let it degenerate into an orgy in his living room, if that's your thing. Just stOP TRYING TO SIT YOUR ASS ON THE QUEEN'S CHAIR ALREADY.

Backstory/Description of new identity:
I hope I'm doing this right...He's that one royal that the court rarely saw when his cousin was still around and in charge, and now even less so and on more sporadic of cases. After the death of his parents (let's not talk about how that one happened coughs), he was taken in by his older cousin that not long after stepped to her rightful claim to the throne. Although a shy child, almost always seen clinging to her, he seemed more able to open up and be around others in the presence of his elder cousin, her more like a sibling to him than anything else. He's always been cautious, though, seeming wary of those that try to approach—and of certain individuals all together, but there is no correlation to who he shies away from versus is attracted to.But, with her disappearance, (most of that) that's changed because he no longer feels he has someone to protect him from himself. And he's right because this court is full of a bunch of rude crusaders for his cousin's throne, and excuse you, get your hands off it, she's coming back from her impromptu vacation, OKAY, DON'T EVEN BOTHER TRYING TO TELL HIM OTHERWISE. And, unlike apparently 90% of the Queen's remaining court, he actually wants nothing to do with the throne, and the Queen's disappearance has done a number on his trust in people and not to mention his sanity of viewing the world properly (and that's not with the curse involved). While he adores her and misses her dearly, he's come to hate her, too; the fear becoming more and more a reality that she, too, just like his parents and older sister, has thrown him away. While he believes something to have happened to her because she would have never simply disappeared, being the kind responsible lady she
wasis, there are times where his darkest fears get to him: that she left on purpose and left him behind, leaving him to the dogs of the court. He's hard to chase down if you're a member of the court, and some have probably figured out by now even if no one's managed to catch him, that the reason is that he's not there. He runs from the loneliness soaking the palace halls and wanders kingdom to observe others at a distance. You'll more likely find him in the presence of a creature ( a dragon or a gryphon or anything not human despite their danger levels to his own health and you, just like everyone else, will wonder WTF HIS PROBLEM IS... ) that others won't be caught dead around. He wears a spiffy hooded robe in his time outside the palace walls.
But, he has this shred of obligation to not completely desert the palace, if only because he doesn't know where else to hide when things get bad ( and because SHE'S DEFINITELY GONNA COME BACK FOR HIM... R....i...g....ht... ). Especially lately, he finds himself less and less able to actually escape, every attempt to sneak out somehow unexpectedly thwarted ( it's like someone figured it out wow ), so he's been pretty isolated. And when he gets desperate, he does eventually look for the company of people to escape that darkness of being forever alone only to get into a new shitstorm the minute he comes in contact with other people...
right, so he's cursed and he doesn't know what's wrong with himself, just that he hears voices and they make him do things he doesn't want to do!!! He acts impulsively and without rationale when he starts to lose it around people (or more like, he starts to succumb to the voices telling him what to do), doing things both good and bad on whims when around certain people. For example, he's been known to give away large sums of money to the peasants in the kingdom or step out to aid a cause of theirs when he's had no previous involvement. But, he's also been known to strike out at the enemies of others that he has no personal tie to or to take particular interest in the fate or a criminal or some other prisoner when there is no obvious link as to why he would support that verdict over the fate of another. And then, of course, the big doozy that really makes you want to think twice about being around him: he's been known to kill a few people without particular reason ( he's not angry at them nor have they don't anything to aggravate or otherwise trigger him and he never seems to have much of a reason as why he did it, but it's definitely not out of any ill will towards the person ). They voices made him do it, though, no one believes him :C He's just has gotten to the point that he can't seem to care about the results of his actions. He doesn't need to be any crazier by adding that guilt complex on.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: He's... mostly the same, I guess, but is a lot more weak-willed in keeping up his front and can be rather easily manipulated and blackmailed. Once someone gets past his outer barrier, there's a very scared kid hiding there and he is terrified of the people who manage to figure him out, to a point he acts completely different around those individuals (it's like a switch). He uses his rather jerkface persona to hopefully keep people at bay and away from him because he's not sure why he's like this and he doesn't wanna hurt people, but he's obviously NO GOOD FOR PEOPLE ANYWAY, DON'T COME NEAR HIM. VALUE YOURSELF A LITTLE, wow. To the ones who have seen past his front and chosen to do so, it can be a means of manipulation because don't you tell anyone about his life problems, especially not the issues he has over his cousin's disappearance.
His one huge significant change is that he is more openly desperate for company and interaction when it happens. Since he spends his time hiding away either out in the world with animals or in empty hallways of the castle, it's only when he can't take the isolation anymore that he bothers others. And by then, he's so desperate he'll really try his best, insisting nothing bad will happen if he talks to another person and that the voices will stop with their insistence on him doing this or that as he meets these individuals.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Anything, come at me :C he's loneliest little royal. But, hey, I want all the CR with court people and knights, especially knights that were loyal to dear cousin because wow guys have you found her yet, please get on this faster okay. If you got a specific idea, hit me up, I'm pretty much open to anything.
Anything Else/:
Okay, so here's the deal with his curse because I can't really keep it a secret in order to plot and make it work. Basically (and he doesn't know anything of it himself, just that he's cursed with this freaking thing that drives him over the edge), he has the ability to read the minds of anyone without psychic protection about them. Since it's unintentional, he gets a lot of voices in his head when in public, so that's why he hides away ( and animals don't have gross noisy desires and wishes they want fulfilled ). The real part of the curse isn't the mind reading, though, so much as the subconscious impulsive obsession to make whatever someone desires come true. He will go through great lengths to do this, to make a person "happy" by giving them what they want most, even though he doesn't actually realize that's where the suggestions are coming from. The problem is, not everyone has desires that are good for everyone (or even themselves). So that's when he starts doing the more crazy bad things, when someone wants something that is less than stellar. That super dark secret desire of you wanting someone to conveniently get run over by a horse so you could get a promotion? Yeah, that might have happened not long after if you were in his company. The biggest thing to watch out for is if your character is a self-loathing individual—because those guilty guilty people are the ones he kills. And Souji hides away and is hard to get a read on when he's so easily controlled by the people able to do so, but he's got no problems killing anyone. In fact, he has a very childlike misconception of the world and things he does—he's afraid of doing the wrong things, but when he does them, he doesn't particularly understand the full weight of what was done. He especially doesn't have much value for life, and this is even moreso if a life needs to taken to make another person 'happy', whether it's their own or not.
Afterall, SOMEONE'S GOTTA BE HAPPY IN THIS WORLD RIGHT...
If anyone wants to be particularly on his good or bad side ( maybe he's still trying to get you your desire from a long time ago and hasn't managed to reward or punish you with it being granted, etc ) in the infiltrators, I'm down with this, and if anyone wants to have gotten the ability to manipulate him for their own purposes, go for it. Also, if someone wants to be his babysitter when he runs off, that'd be cool, too, but otherwise if someone just wants to be that person who is trying to stand in and 'mother' him like the Queen did, be my guest. Just expect a lot of rebellion and "you're not my real mom" bitchery. Please seek out one Hijikata Toshizou if you need a drinking partner—alternatively, for advice on how to deal with his stupid ass (hint, hijikata can't tell you shit).
He does have a special companion ( it's like a direwolf ) that was given to him by his cousin and it never leaves his side. it has an affinity for encouraging or deterring people from interacting with him, although its way of ruling which is which is anyone's guess.

Role in current universe: The Violet Illuminant - patron of royalty and master of illusions. Ambrose's driving goal is to put someone, anyone - the Queen, a knight, whoever - back on the throne, and he'll throw his (usually disguised) support behind anyone who will reunify the kingdom.
Backstory/Description of new identity: ~Shrouded in mystery~, as any possibly-fae critter would be. Mage. Really likes
purpleviolet and royalty. Is probably in ur base, making u see what he wants u to see.Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: ~Shrouded in mys- no, he's likely going to be illusioned-up a lot of the time (have fun with that) but should one encounter real!Ambrose they'll find him doing that aura-of-nobility thing he gets occasionally. Only more. Where he's usually pretty straightforward and easy to read there will be a level of ambiguity to his words and actions. Also: vain. Behold his resplendent robes why yes those are genuine amethysts how pleasant of you to notice.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Wanna find the Queen and restore her to the throne? Awesome, he'll help you. Wanna take the throne yourself? Awesome, he'll help you. Digging the chaos and just wanna watch the world burn? Ew, gtfo, he'll have next to nothing to do with you (them's the brakes with the whole Illuminated only care about [stuff to do with color] thing).
Also: knights to aid him. He (probably) can't be everywhere at once. OR CAN HE.Position filled :D!Anything Else/: SORRY THIS IS VAGUE but ~SIM~, plus this is just a quick-and-dirty write-up. I am probably going to come up with some curse or blessing which he's stuck with because why not.

Backstory/Description of new identity: So without a Queen, there's no Knights—they have no honor, no purpose, etc. Rekka has a powerful subconscious desire to return the glory of the Knights, and if that means putting any old schmuck on the throne, so be it. Also, her Questing Sense pinged her in that direction and it's the only lead she has.
In the past as a Knight, she came off a little cold, especially upon first impressions, but she wasn't actively unfriendly, and she was hard-working and dedicated, to boot (until she decided to serve an Illuminant erherm).

Backstory/Description of new identity: Once a knight (not of the Gryphon), he was raised to the nobility by the Queen after the previous Baron rebelled. Bringing a dislike of politics and a no-nonsense approach to governance, he's gradually become fed up with being the neglected frontier, poor and overlooked and bandit-stricken, and has mostly come to the Tournament to strongarm whoever he can into coming back to clean up the region.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Nope. He's still a cantankerous, ambivalently moral, goal-oriented maverick who's not afraid to throw his weight around.

He secretly, desperately wants to turn his life around and be the "good knight" he always wanted to be, but he feels that he is too far gone for redemption.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: His wit is more ascerbic, his self-loathing much more at the forefront. He is violent and angry, with a hair-trigger temper.

Alcuin nó Delaunay || Yellow Illuminated
Backstory/Description of new identity: This inhumanly beautiful young man stepped out of the Oakgate Forest perhaps fifteen years ago, nearly seven years before the Queen vanished. He looked about twenty then, and still does today - time doesn't seem to touch him. Gentle and polite, this mage, who goes by the name Alcuin, listens to the pleas of the common folk, and comforts them in their distress. From time to time he has been known to entertain children by creating coins out of nothing, or brightening a dark place. His laughter is infectious, bringing out joy and happiness in others. The people tend to warily appreciate his presence, but they can never forget that he is different. Probably not even human. Women and men alike have been known to grow yellow with jealousy about his apparent wealth and beauty, speaking ill of him when he has gone rather than saying so to his face. He wanders from place to place, riding a shimmering golden stallion. And yet, bandits seem to avoid trying to capture him.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Mostly, Alcuin doesn't change - he's sweet, kind, even-tempered, and genuinely wants to help make people happy. But unlike usual, there are times where he simply won't care. You may have the most bitter tale of woe ever, and if there is nothing in helping you that might further his cause or somehow get something for him? He's likely to simply walk away.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Anyone! Anything! Negative or positive. Particularly with other Illuminated or common folk. Magical creatures or Cursed folk are awesome too. I'm new here. I'm up for practically anything.
Anything Else:
He's looking for someone. Or something. A Dart of some sort? Or is it a mountain stronghold? A particular sheaf of wheat? The Queen, perhaps? A cygnet? Or was that a signet. It's hard to say. One of the best ways of gaining his favor is to make him laugh. One of the easiest ways to earn his enmity is to suggest sleeping with him.
Re: Alcuin nó Delaunay || Yellow Illuminated

Backstory/Description of new identity: He seeks the throne. In addition to wanting to take the throne for himself, he wishes to bring order back to Dolorosa. Shu's loyalty isn't with the queen, but with a relative of the royal family member.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Shu will be mostly the same except he'll be less passive and be more of what he thinks an ideal leader should be.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: EVERYTHING i mean- people willing to help this guy take the throne. also someone who'd work as a spy. I'm completely down for negative cr too.

Backstory/Description of new identity: Rebel against the Barons because fuck those guys. Nominally monarchist but too busy surviving to worry about ~noble quests~ to find the queen. Makes a point of only hitting the nobility but doesn't go out of his way to publicize
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Still a grumpy asshole with hidden moral standards.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: He's a natural leader, so having other outlaws to work with would be awesome. Also any conflicts with Barons he's particularly pissed off.

Backstory/Description of new identity: In an ironic twist of foreshadowing, Bucky will be playing his winter soldier counter part the summer soldier (this. No just kidding.) Instead of being ice cold and super quiet picture the Winter Soldier if he were trained by Americans, all about trying to stoke the kingdom's will for battle. He's not malicious or evil, he simply believes that from the ashes a fire shall be woken, so it's his job to encourage chaos
Just like HYDRA wants him to.He's still a flirt, but he's considerably more manipulative.Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Honestly more aggressive, less prone to talk about himself. He's not a war hawk but he won't turn down things. More information as it develops. Aggressively enforces the rules to inspire people to do stuff.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Minions! People who he's inspired! More minions! Past identities, clients, people who knew him before he became a reclusive douchebag.
Anything Else/: He's fond of using his left arm to cast fire spells.

Backstory/Description of new identity: You know those crazy kids from Talus that like to try and and scale the cliffs to get their own gryphon eggs? Yeah, he was one of those. Fortunately, he's made it out of those reckless expeditions in one piece and eventually went about things the proper way. He's technically still in training, but his bobcat/owl gryphon Ran is quite loyal to him at this point and they work well together. Now if only she'd quit being so damn lazy, maybe they could get somewhere. Stupid cat-bird. He knows she's got in in her; he's seen it.
He was brought up to respect the royal family, in particular the queen, so that's where his loyalties lie even if he's not actively searching for her.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: While he remains that serious, efficiency-focused sort, he'll be more emotive and able to relax every now and then. It won't be like pulling teeth to get him to join into things that aren't work-related and he might actually talk.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Knight mentors or bros . . . really just about anything, I'd love to make it happen.

Backstory/Description of new identity: Refused to carry out orders he deemed dishonorable and fell out of grace with the queen. Deeming himself not fitting for petty crimes or the life of an outlaw he merely roams the kingdom, keeping an eye out for the queen, doing knightly deeds. Rides/flies a gryphon with a wolf's body.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Still a honorable goody two shoes but not at all insecure about his position in the world. He still stands behind the decision he made that day.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: I am quite new to the game so I am really open to everything, really <3
Anything Else/: Grey Wind is his gryphon /o/

Backstory/Description of new identity: The Red Illuminant emerged from, well, somewhere or other shortly after the disappearance of the Queen. She has been a presence a few months on and a few months off in court since her arrival in Dolorosa, never changing in appearance. She always shows up in times of relative peace - when strife between two houses has finally been made, she shows up, smiling, and very gently stirs the pot, and suddenly people are at each others' throats again. She isn't often seen to start fights, but she always seems to be in the middle of them, and despite her mysterious beauty doesn't really have any friends or suitors. At least not any living ones. When not in court, Red retreats to her stronghold in the Ash Wastes to surround herself with tiny dragons and bathe in heat.
She is likely working at cross-purposes with all the other Illuminants, but especially Violet, because he wants someone to take the throne while she wants the strife and chaos to continue. Or get worse. Ideally.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Lila has always been aggressive, but coolly so - now she's all heat. She hasn't lost her ability to plan, but rather than planning for a distinct end goal, she has designs on chaos and destruction. She also has a much stronger temper - which means if you make her angry and there's a way for her to kill you without getting caught, she'll do it without blinking.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Negative is PRETTY MUCH WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN HERE; she does not like or want the other kind and is mostly incapable of it, but I'm up for trying anything.
Anything Else: I was on hiatus for almost all of last month, so I have definitely missed some stuff. If I mess up/assume something weird/am otherwise out of the loop, please let me know!!

Backstory/Description of new identity:
Born into affluence as the sole heir of a jeweler empire, Kaoru’s role in the world had been carved out long before he could fully talk. It was always understood: he was to be treated as a king, and his subjugates were to fall to their knee the moment he waddled (and eventually walked) through a room—he would hold his head higher than others, above them, better than them. He would be a leader.
So it came as something of a disappointment to his family when the toddler began to form a personality that didn’t quite fit into the haughty mold cast for him. He still recognized his subordinates as being such, but he was not so quick to dismiss them, and often left alone in the care of his parent’s staff, he grew with gentle affection for the people surrounding him. His wealth, he realized, did not elevate him—instead, it placed greater responsibility on him, for being a leader was not simply a matter of being above others, but of holding them up at the same time.
Despite his family’s concern that he was too “soft”, this quality didn’t make him less of a leader, only a better one. On nearly all fronts he was unmatched: from the first study session to the last, Kaoru distinguished himself from the pack of his peers in grades and attitude, aided by the nearly complete isolation from the other students. He found he profoundly disliked his peers—his young mind, so prepared for social dominance—could not understand immediately why the other students didn’t fall in line behind him as the rest of his world had.
Or perhaps he could, but he didn’t want to acknowledge it, didn’t want to think of his place in the world as unearned. It wasn’t fair for him to be an outcast simply by his heritage.
It wasn’t fair and it wasn’t kind. But the world had never been those things, really, and all that he was destined for mandated all that he would lose in childhood. No friends, no confidants who weren’t supported by his wealth—just the loneliness of being king. The more he stood out, the more he stood alone, all the while nurturing a deep jealousy for those other, freer children who never had to know the weight of carrying on their family’s legacy.
But he had an advantage even greater than that legacy. He was smart. Smarter than the lot of them, even, and with practice, he learned to ingratiate himself, wearing false smiles and burying his gentle demeanor under a much more conniving façade. For all the training and tutors his family had paid for, he learned the most from his peers, and by the ripe age of nine, he had come to understand people as strings that he could pull and animate at will.
Until he became bored. For people were always the same combinations, be they his fellow or his senior, and there was nothing in the world he couldn’t rise to with the barest of efforts.
Thus it followed that he found his way to magic. Magic wasn’t something his money could make happen, and the people involved were not such simple lambs as those he had known—it became a matter of character more than status for him, and he took a particular interest in Yellow magic. This venture, out of all his interests, earned the most ire from his family, reducing Kaoru to studying in secret and hiding from the servants more loyal to his mother than himself.
Until, in a streak of brilliance, he proposed a deal in true mercantile fashion. If his family would permit him to study magic openly, he would do so until the age of twenty, and at such time, whether he had failed or succeeded, he would return and take his place within the family business. It took convincing, but Kaoru’s guile, so trained as it was, and eventually won them over.
That, and signing a contract to solidify the terms of their agreement. If he did not honor his deal, he would forfeit all inheritance and live penniless.
Shortly thereafter, the Yellow Illuminant visited their hometown. Eager to meet a real Illuminant, Kaoru begged his parents to introduce him, hoping to land an apprenticeship. He managed to endear himself to the Yellow Illuminant enough to garner his attention, and after some testing, proved himself quite capable of magic—perhaps from natural talent, but more likely from his secret, ever diligent studies.
So he became an apprentice to Alcuin, and in that time, he almost forgot his cunning and remembered his gentleness. But the deal always lingered at his mind, as deals with the devil are wont to do, and when he was sixteen, news came from home.
The family was on the verge of collapse. Poor investments, dogmatic strife, and family politics had left their empire on the brink of burning. Deal or not, if Kaoru didn’t return, his wealth might well be an idea of the past regardless.
Kaoru returned home within the next season, assuming the role of head of the family and bringing them back to glory. All those years of studying had paid off: he made quick work of the family’s troubles, mending the broken bonds, paying off debts and breathing new life into the business by brokering new alliances. In jut a few months, the world was set as it should be, but Kaoru was not willing to relinquish control so easily.
In part, he felt responsible for maintaining it—if their business was threatened again, all of those relying on them for jobs would feel the repercussions sooner than his family. But more than that, he felt as if it was an unavoidable fate for him, and no matter how he had enjoyed his life with Alcuin, he didn’t belong there.
He belonged alone, at the top of his lonely hill, watching over those below.
So letters are traded, monies passed on, spells occasionally written, but he’s accepted that he’ll never return. Now nineteen years old and firmly cemented into his place as the head of the family, Kaoru watches the world devolve into chaos from afar, protecting his herd, and keeping himself sequestered right where he belongs.
tl;dr heir in training who turns to the light side, former yellow apprentice
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Not much. He’s just a little gentler and less jaded.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: Any and all! He knows about the portals (has seen or heard of it, details unclear) and will spread the word to his contacts after he’s talked to Yellow.
Anything Else/: He’s going to be strangely obsessed with Green.
Leonardo da Vinci → Orange Illuminated
Backstory/Description of new identity: About eleven or twelve years ago, an old noble found the Orange Illuminant's tent on his land. Infuriated, he told the Orange Illuminated to go. The Orange Illuminated wanted to stay, so instead he made a deal that he would leave without trouble, and make the man richer for his troubles, but only if the nobleman solved his riddle within a day. Otherwise, the Orange Illuminated would stay for as long as he liked, and take something from the nobleman instead. The man agreed, but the riddle was challenging, and he asked his only son for the answer. However, the Orange Illuminated knew that he had gotten his answer from the son, and thus said that it was not the nobleman who had solved his riddle. When asked what he wanted as payment, the Orange Illuminated chose the young son of the nobleman.
The young son was Leonardo, who was schooled in the teachings of Orange Magic and taught as the Orange Magician's utmost apprentice. He was raised from then on to fill the position of the Orange Illuminated when his former master decided it was time to move on. And very soon, he did. Six years ago the Orange Illuminated passed on his mantle to Leonardo and disappeared.
The Orange Illuminated as he is now is all about adventuring and having a good time while doing it. He is extremely unconventional in that he brings his lair with him wherever he goes, unlike the others who tend to stay in one place. He surrounds himself with new scents and tastes, as well as constantly asks for new jokes or riddles he might not have heard yet. He loves pranking people, though his pranks are usually pretty harmless all things considered.
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: This version of Leonardo has more of a trickster bent to him. While Leonardo would not laugh at the expense of others, Orange would. In fact, he does so frequently, assuming it is a generally harmless prank. Orange does constantly eat meat, something Leonardo doesn't do, and is always interested in trying new tastes and experiencing new scents. Orange also does not draw, as he's too busy doing things to observe it long enough to draw it like Leonardo does.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: All of it. Give me all of it. Negative CR is pretty hard because even if your character has a terrible sense of humor, Orange will love to tease him or her.
Anything Else/: He will be completely gone from Dolorosa on the 20th of June.

the GryphonFlamegardBackstory/Description of new identity: A knight who's not overly noteworthy. Still named Echo oddly just because thinking up new names is too difficult. She's very loyal but needs direction typically, so without the Queen she's thrown her lot in with Flamegard. She'll fight to protect others as needed, or even if she wants to. Also she looks young for her age (which is canon anyway but possibly worth noting).
Significant changes in personality/mannerisms: Memories of canon are gone for the most part, particularly regarding Zwei. She won't refer to herself in third person either.
Kinds of CR/RP scenarios you're looking for with this plot: People who already were or can become friends/acquaintances with her. Knights or otherwise, I'm pretty open! She's new so I wanna build relationships mostly, even though she's an infiltrator I think stuff can carry over once she's out of here. And of course fighting. Monsters, each other, something else entirely, she already had skills from canon so she can handle it.
Anything Else/: I'm thinking she either doesn't have or doesn't use a gryphon for some reason I haven't figured out the details to. Unless that's totally improbable...

And Eren will definitely be enthusiastically friendly to all his colleagues, boisterous, straightforward dragon-slaying machine he is, although he does keep stupidly going off on his own when they're out in the wastes!
