She can watch, then, as a bright light coalesces and descends, becoming a humanoid figure with a porcelain-and-gold mask and stiff gold leathers in the form of a tailcoat, trousers, boots and gloves, covering every exposed inch of skin.
"Greetings," the figure says in a warm, friendly voice, lips of the mask curving upward as it does.
The girl narrows her eyes against the light, trying to see through it, and keeps squinting as the light transforms into a person, not letting her get out of her sight for even a moment.
"Hi."
Her tone doesn't pick up any of that friendliness or warmth. It's countered with distrustful tension instead. As curious as she is about this person, it's drowned out by everything in her screaming that this is not a place where you want to suddenly lose your way and find yourself caught by whoever controls the realm. To be fair you generally don't want to be found by the owner if you're in someone else's place without their permission, but this is a level of do-not-want above that, specifically because she didn't come here of her own volition and with that greeting has good reason to assume that whoever this is brought her here. And nothing about this is made better by the things that Nitou has told her.
She makes no move to accept the tea, nor does she move. Instead, she tries to be as alert as possible and keep a close eye on the person before her at the same time as she keeps an eye on their surroundings.
"The transition to... being a Traveler, I believe it is called. You have been summoned to journey between worlds, to strive with and against others doing the same, in the hope that you will bring truth and light into every reality you pass."
"I don't need to become anything new." She's already become something new that she definitely didn't want to become. She's quite fine being a cat shapeshifter, thank you very much. "And I want to go home. Not to other worlds."
Bring light and truth to other places? That sounds a lot like some indoctrinating corporate propaganda, and she'd rather stay as far away from any kind of corporate as she can.
"I will." And no matter what the answer is, she will not trust this person to not speak around the truth, even if they don't lie directly. "...So you want me to help you win. How?"
She needs to find a way out. There has to be a way out. But how did she get in? She starts looking around again, trying to not make it obvious, and to at the same time not turn her attention from this being.

Kitty narrows her eyes at the other ...person... in the room. "And how can I be sure that you'd really do that and not just promise it now?"

Not agree. Just see.

As simply as that, she'll find herself back in Liminal Space.
