Oh, well, a sudden wolf is a bit alarming. Especially since Qrow didn't sense anyone up until now. Not that he seems too shocked, just a bit more prepared for anything than he was seconds ago. But he won't make a move unless the wolf does first.
"Hey there. Where'd you come from?" If the wolf could speak, it wouldn't be that surprising. If not... well, then that's that.
"He was here before you were," another voice says, as a woman clad in white vinyl steps out of nowhere and hops onto the mat, crossing her legs and sitting beside the wolf. "This is SAGE. I'm ROSE. He doesn't talk much, so I'm here to interpret for him."
First a wolf and now a woman appears out of nowhere. This sure is a welcome back to being a Traveler... or just a welcome, since he didn't really have time to experience actual Traveling. At least so that he'd remember.
"I gotta admit, that makes things a lot easier. So, mind telling me why I'm here and not back at where everyone else is?"
She looks at the wolf, then nods. "This is a time for contemplation," she relates. "Before you go back, reflect on what you know, and what you do not know."
"Contemplation, eh?" Qrow looks thoughtful for a little while, but honestly there's not very much to think on. "You know, I didn't stay very long before I found myself from the dungeon place. I just remember the very lovely days on Moebius and even those are fuzzy. So really I don't know very much about this situation."
Again, they exchange looks. "We are sorry you suffered that," she says. "It was - not typical. And SAGE wasn't here for it. You can blame me, if you want - but don't blame him." The wolf yips at her, and she rolled her eyes. "Okay, I embellished that translation. It's still true."
"I wasn't actually blaming anyone except my own abilities. I was born with amazingly bad luck, so there's not much room for me to blame anyone except that." This pair seems rather interesting in its own. Qrow can pretty much sense they're definitely not your ordinary dwellers.
She pauses, looking at the wolf for a long, silent interval once more before nodding and turning back to him.
"SAGE called you here to answer questions you might have before you re-enter play. He's chosen you as one of his representatives in the game we're playing. I'm here because he's not very talkative, these days."
