It's not that surprising and Jean smiles at the gesture. "Usagi wanted me to deliver chocolate for you", he motions the bag in his hand. "And this... well, you will have to see for yourself."
He offers the painting for her. When she opens it, it has a painting of both of the PSYCHE in pretty black and white dresses, accompanied with a heart, decorated with white ribbons.
"Usagi's a good kid," Psyche says. "A real sweetheart. I'd've scooped her up if I was back in the game when she entered play."
But then she sees the present and that, that gets a sharp gasp from Psyche. She reaches out to touch the painting--then draws her hand back--then reaches out again, stopping her hand a few inches from the surface of the painting.
"Oh Jean," she says, all in wonder. "That's so-- sweet of you. You didn't have to do this for me."
Yep, that's kind of what Jean suspected. Too bad Usagi arrived when she did. They'd be teammates. But Usagi fit her own patron too, so it was all good, really.
Jean looks a bit embarrassed. "I wanted to. Painting is something I'm good at so I thought why not. Though uh, sorry, I didn't think thins quite through on if you have space to keep something like this..."
"No, no," Psyche says. "I'll keep it here. When you put stuff in your Rooms, they stay, right? So this should probably stay. Let me make something to put it on."
And just like that, there's a white easel to place the painting upon, just off to the side of the loveseat.
She's still got that wondering look in her eyes, as she keeps stealing glances back at him. Then, suddenly, she turns all the way and plants a brief but heartfelt kiss on his mouth.
"For the painting," she says, pulling back. Then, "Don't worry, I won't try to steal you from Mikasa. You two are cute."
Welp. That's. Going to be something to explain to Mikasa. She wouldn't be happy, but he couldn't be able to hide something like this from her. Hoo boy.
"So you knew already. I wanted to come tell you about it. Since we talked about it before."
"That... makes sense", Jean says with a nod. Then he smiles brightly. "I'm really happy. While I still love Korra a lot, nothing can ever compare to the love I feel for Mikasa. And we'll continue being friends... very close friends."
She laughs. "If Mikasa weren't Mikasa, I'd suggest you three work out something together... but she's kinda jealous, so I don't think that would work."
"And that's cool too," she says, with a fond smile. "Devoted monogamy is lovely, you know. Sure, it reduces shipping possibilities, but it's so, mm, romantic."

"There," she says with satisfaction.

"About you and Mikasa? Sure. I always know when couples get together. I'm Lovers."
