He does not have long to wait. An albino wolf, with piercing blue-green eyes, appears in a blink of green light on the yoga mat across from him, watching him wide-eyed.
There's a flash of cyan light, and a white-clad woman with blue hair and sparkling skin appears beside the wolf.
"Sorry I'm late," she says. "Yes. Introduction and explanation? This is SAGE. I'm ROSE. He's using me as a translator because this shape gives him a great excuse not to talk to anyone."
The wolf barks reproachfully.
"...I added that last sentence myself," she admits, lips pursing in amusement, not as apologetic as she perhaps ought to be. "We're two of the Arcana, your hosts and guides on the present journey."
She glances sideways thoughtfully. "Guides. I like that, Ix. I'm going to use that."
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE 'PRESENT JOURNEY'? BECAUSE FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN HEARING IT SOUNDS MORE LIKE YOU ARE TAKING PEOPLE FROM THEIR WORLDS AND PLAYING GAMES WITH THEM AND OTHERS.
Someone may have been speaking to the other personification of Death you guys took.
"He says it's a journey of growth and understanding, more than a game, but you sound like you understand it anyway," she translates, and rolls her eyes.
A JOURNEY, A GAME. ALL OF THESE IMPLY AN ENDING. GENERALLY I AM NOT INVOLVED IN THE FIRST TWO. AND THIS IS QUITE OUT OF MY JURISDICTION.

AND WHY SHOULD ANY OF US WANT YOU TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH OUR WORLDS? WITH YOUR 'EVERYTHING'.
FROM YOUR ACTIONS SO FAR, I WOULD LIKE NOTHING MORE THEN TO HAVE YOU NEVER COME NEAR THE DISC AGAIN. YOU ARE PLAYING GAMES WITH THINGS THAT ARE NOT TOYS. AND HAVE YET TO GIVE AN ADEQUATE ANSWER FOR ANY OF IT. OTHER THEN YOU ARE PLAYING FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE. WHICH IS NOT AN ANSWER.
