Monx blinked in surprise at the sudden transportation to this new room. She looked around, idly admiring how beautiful the room was. It did not take her long to notice the disc in the center of the room and she approached it confidently, stopping to look it over, pondering the nature of the magic at work here, speaking absently to herself. "Hm. The differences in these spaces and of home are quite interesting. The challenge of finding the true nature of magic across worlds will certainly be quite an adventure."
She smiled a little to herself and straightened up, looking at the cup of tea and then leaning close so that she could smell it and take a moment to think of home.
The light brightens, as she does, and slowly, a gold-clad figure in a porcelain mask descends from the ceiling. "I admire the search for truth," the figure says, touching down lightly across from her. "That you embrace it so readily speaks well of my choice."
She straightened, looking to the being in front of her as her smile faded. She didn't feel like the being in front of her was dangerous, she actually felt quite comfortable - she wasn't sure if she should should be worried. She did feel the need to be polite.
"Pardon me if I seem rude - I truly do not mean to be - but why did you bring me here? Not to be ungrateful - I really am thankful that you did. You've given me quite the second chance."
"That is one reason why," the figure says. Something about the fussy precision of his movements seems not quite human - or even humanoid. "I brought you here to represent Truth, among other things."
Monx noticed the unreality of the form's movements, noting it. She figured that whatever true form this must have, it was likely a humanoid figure out of consideration to her. She wondered what form it would have taken if she was something else. "If you represent Truth, then certainly you would understand why I ask the next question: while I am sure your form is a courtesy to me more than anything, what are you?" She may as well get the first round of questions over. "Where am I? What is going on? And what other things in addition to Truth?"
