Do you have any ideas for what Anna Monday and the Scion's relationship might have been prior to her vanishing?

I left it open for you two to decide. Even "relative" might have been too specific, best friends might work too... If all else fails, my first draft had them as siblings, though that's definitely my rl bias showing XD

Anna Monday as the scion's older sister, or even twins sound good to me at least.

Excellent. Let's go for that then. I'd say May was a few years older than Alayne, close enough that they grew up together but far enough away that she was solidly an *older* sibling - four years maybe?
