Before you jump in with your character, a few basic steps.

➤ Comment on the Taken Characters & Player Contact pages with the appropriate information.

➤ Make sure to familiarize yourself with our Directory, but especially the Rules & Harassment policy & the Psychic Network explanation. This is not optional - reading game info is actually one of the rules! Feel free to take your time, and you don’t need to read everything before you intro, but all the information we’ve shared is there for a reason.

➤ Read the Intro post to learn about the moment of your arrival. You’re welcome to thread this all out, too, but you don’t have to, and sometimes threads get derailed, so: everything you ICly need to know about dropping into the game is right there.

➤ A couple steps that don’t apply to everyone: if you’re playing a telepath or a teleporter, you have been powercapped and should go to the Skill Equivalences page to select your new powers. If you’re playing a veteran Traveler instead of a new arrival, you need to check out Previous Universes & Acquiring Skills. If you have questions about how to intro a veteran character, we have some suggestions here.

➤ Optionally, check the Skill Equivalences page to report jaunt skills your character may already know. This is not necessary to use these skills, but will be required if you want to teach them or take a skill which has a prerequisite your character already knows. Players reporting a power cap or Veteran skills should report them here.

➤ Preferably, make an intro post on the OOC so everyone knows who you are and who you’re playing! You don’t technically have to do this but we strongly advise it!

➤ Go ahead and make your IC intro! The newest IC intro post in Liminal Space is here at the top of the Liminal Space tag!

➤ Comment on the latest plot post with your character’s role in the upcoming Jaunt, when the Jaunt information goes up. If you can’t figure out what to do, feel free to ping a mod for assistance - that’s what we’re here for!

➤ Check in on the Conversation Space page under the toplevel for your Arcana for details on how their first quick, confusing in-character conversation with the beings who host this game is likely to run. ICly, this encounter takes place after their time in Liminal Space, but before they enter into the next jaunt; if you have any questions not covered by the info post for your character's patron Arcana, drop them a question and their player-mod will get back to you ASAP.
