Anna Monday has been hanging out behind the metalworking shop and lost a shard or two. nothing of note.

Week 2: You don't join the rescue effort. This is because the rescuers may reach the second obstacle of their journey in week 3 and have to pass through part of Elsewhere under your domain. You may or may not be aware of this, your choice. Details to come if that happens. Because a few shards have been lost, so have a few memories, and your domain will be slightly more dangerous and unstable. 8)

Is the domain the radius in which people get uneasy? And what does it being dangerous and unstable mean? Particularly what does it mean in play? Can I make other characters trip, or...?

Oops meant the second obstacle that may appear in week three. The domain is her special environment in the Elsewhere.

Since it’s grip on reality is unstable, it’s up to you whether or not Anna Monday has control over where it goes. Choose between Anna Mondays Elsewhere territory, or a verdant field filled with unicorns, daintier-looking than horses but stronger and swifter.

So hey, what if a few bits of Anna-glass wound up in Dream-Eater's shop? (either from him wandering campus and spotting it, making deals/trades with people/crows who've gone snatching, etc.) Since he's the sort who would give at least one back just to see what would happen.

I'd be fine with him somehow coming into the possession of one or two shards that were stolen from her!

I'm honestly not sure how it would react, I *think* it would depend on what the memory in the shard was so it could go well or terribly... Aside from that he'd end up in its domain in the Elsewhere with Anna.

Would you be more interested in a good or a bad reaction?

Hhhrmmm... Not sure. Mosty throwing ideas at the wall. Possibly one and one? Since that would be the max "Ooooh, now that's interesting~" reaction (and possibly spark him guessing something close to the reason for it. As well as getting him on a quest to find more shards because poking things that shouldn't be poked is fun~)

...however, if I'm reading his plot skill right... he could make part of Anna's territory a safe zone for him...

Skill: Safety Net - Walking the perimeter of a stationary area up to 100 feet in radius, magically designate it as one that will never allow you harm. Does not make a barrier or protect others. Not immune to effects from attacks or disasters occuring outside the boundary.

So if that's at all a thing you'd wanna hav a go with? good opening for him to actually show off and thus keep the skill

Red/Chloe Frazer managed to get herself dragged over to the Elsewhere during week 1. That's why Anna wasn't at EU during the first days of week 2 - it needed to come back first.

During week 2 Anna got rather upset because Bakura's overlay was being a butt.

More might happen but I haven't been able to thread much yet.

Next Week: Have prompts for both EU campus and Elsewhere. Whether it was unaware of the path to the Royal being through its domain, or was aware, it will want payment for the perceived crime of invading its area. Put this fact and offer any number of the following solutions and their related info in your Elsewhere toplevel. Let me know if you have questions or want to create better sign language.

Solution 1: Use your shards to show any one intruder surrendering their life. They will take on a form similar to Anna Monday, effectively dying and allowing Elsewhere magic to infuse their shattered, restless soul.

Solution 2: Use your shards to show the outline of your missing arms, a crow, and a forest. Someone must steal the crows' cache of seaglass bits stolen from Anna Monday, in a tree hollow in the Forest, and avoid being murdered by crows. Beware, crows tell their friends about targets, and crows are everywhere. All these seaglass bits will help Anna Monday recover its arms and a few memories of when it was human.

Solution 3: Use your shards to show an image of Alayne's face and the words "come with". Finding her might shed light on its true identity and help it find peace.

Solution 4: Something else you think might work, or combination of the last two!

She's gonna likely be more upset with him later~

So after finding out that the crows are kinda peeved at him for giving those shards back, he's gonna find out that the crows believe that if Anna keeps hanging around, her realm is going to start invading the mundane world, flying glass and all. He'll be going back to her to tell her that and suggest that if she wants to keep her shards/stay alive, she'd best move back to the other side of things.

Anna came back with Chloe during week 2!

She will also help Tachibana retrieve some friends (Sayoko, Hajime, and potentially maybe Kitty's overlay will tag along) at the end of week two.

And afterwards Dream-Eater will tell her that the crows want her to stay in the Elsewhere.

Since Fennel is apparently going to be the Anna Monday whisperer for week 3, this is me plopping down to try and coordinate stuff. He'll be interacting with Red to start him on his research so there's motive!

The rescuers arrived at her place in the Elsewhere and Anna requested that they bring her shards and/or Alayne.

From what I understand, all her shards were returned to her, but I have no idea if anyone went after the Alayne. Either way, the returning of the shards would have made her let everyone pass unhindered in the end, helped by her being in full control of things again due to returned shards.

Meanwhile at EU, anti-bird-contraptions were installed around Anna by Tachibana and she had some bloody altercations with the crows even before that happened. She also learned about them trying to dissemble her during late week 2 which caused all of this.

Also, Red (Chloe Frazer) brought Alayne's Changeling to meet Anna, but that hasn't been played out yet.

Is returning her shards to her (or characters talking about how they’re going about it) onscreen?

Conflicts with the crows don’t change the crows' shards agenda, but boy does that add some extra flavor and make it more real!

Next mingle I’m thinking about keeping some stormy wind (no glass) around her lake and in the theater just to show that even though Anna Monday is calmer, there is still unfinished business. I figured going after Alayne was going to happen this upcoming week. I still need to gather some more notes on this mingle together, but I think you may have time for actually finding her and reuniting the sisters.

Final mingle: It looks like a few Investigators are getting the shards from the crows in week 4, but they are still ICly thinking about whether to return them to Anna Monday.

I'm a real failure this week, I haven't manage to toplevel or otherwise do anything with Anna in week four yet.

Is there a preferred path of action that I should take due to this? I should be able to toplevel today, but if wanted/needed I can also try to plot out things oocly if anything needs plotting out and then get back to you with ooc agreements.

No worries, weeks 4 and (later) 5 are at your disposal for threading any closure Anna may or may not want to get. I am leaving those details out of the next mingle, so I don’t need them right this second, and just letting the interpersonal relationships thread out however you like in backtags.

The rescue party wasn’t harmed by either Anna or the Wild Hunt afaik, and Alayne looked like she was enjoying herself at college and probably wants to return. That'll be Jaunt "autopilot mode" if I’m not notified of any developments to the contrary before I have to write the mingle tomorrow. That seems to fit with what Taurina was doing too.

I just got a notice about the shards retrieval log here if you want to stalk it!

At the beginning of week 5, Anna won't have any more or less shards than during week four. It will, however, be calmer because it is now together with Alayne.

It will grow less calm again for week 5 because it is moving about and staying away from its domain and that costs it strength and thus control.

...I still have absolutely no idea if it will get the shards back or not, if it will be banished or not, etc etc. That'll all be played out in the final mingle, it seems. Or I guess I could make an extra log for it if that's easier.

Week 5

Anything to report from week 5?

A number of things, but a lot is also still in the works.

- Anna has been hanging out around school to be near Alayne, but has been careful to leave her some space, so it's been hanging around the corridor outside the room that Alayne was currently in a lot, and stuff like that. It was almost stable for the beginning of the week but due to being away from its domain for a long time slowly started decreasing in stability again from the second part of the week.
- Anna learned about what it looked like before her death from Red and told Alayne about that. No conclusion on what Alayne does with that yet.
- It interacted with some of the investigators that try to deal with its situation, but there's nothing conclusive yet on what'll come out of that.

Essentially:

- A lot depends on what the investigator group will do. I know there's been talk about forcibly putting Anna to eternal rest, so if that goes through, that's that.
- Another bit depends on Alayne. If an agreement can be found that Alayne will go into the Elsewhere to visit Anna regularly, Anna will fairly peacefully hang out there as long as Alayne keeps up her regular visits up. (This also means that whenever Alayne dies, or if something keeps her from coming, Anna will go looking for her and things will probably get very nasty.) If no agreement is found, Anna will continue to hang around Alayne and will in time stabilize through anchoring itself to Alayne instead of its domain. Which will have very nasty consequences when Alayne dies. And also make life hard for her, because having a fae ghost hang out nearby all your life...
- If people try to separate Alayne and Anna without putting Anna to rest, that will have a very nasty aftermath.
